Knitting : Honeycomb Stitch

This is a beautiful stitch that I always wanted to work. It seems to be a difficult one, but one of the stitches that a beginner can do. All you need to know is cast on, Knit ,Purl, Slip Stitch and Binding off.

The honeycomb stitch is also called as The Wasp Nest Knitting Stitch.

I wanted to make a baby blanket with this stitch but now I am planning to make a hat.
Used some scrap yarn to learn this stitch then blocked it, otherwise my swatch was a bit puckered.

This Video explains the stitch very well. Go here to see the written pattern

  1. Thanks for sharing this stitch. The colour changes make a big difference to the pattern. I like all the projects and am tempted to take up needles later for Grandchildren items.
